Yummy Party

We hosted a Yummy Tasting Party last weekend and we all had a really good time. Keep an eye out for more tasting parties to come. We are thinking our next tasting might be a sampling of Thanksgiving items....what do you think? Let us know. We'd love to hear from you and hear your ideas!



                           






Sweet Potato Hummus
                                1 Can Chickpeas
                                1/2 Lemon Juiced
                                1 Cup Sweet Potate Puree
                                1 tsp Cumin
                                1 Clove Garlic
                                Pinch Cayenne
                                Pinch Salt

                                        Place all ingredients in a food processor and combine till creamy.




Thyme Popcorn
                                Air Popped Popcorn
                                1 Tbls Thyme
                                1 Pinch of Salt
                                2 Tbls Nutritional Yeast or Parmesean Cheese
                                1/2 Peanuts
                                1 cup Pretzels




Grilled Salt and Vinegar Potatoes

These were the hit of the party. If you like Salt and Vinegar Chips you'll really love these.
                                2 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
                                1 Cup Water
                                3 White Potatoes thinly sliced-skins left on
                                Salt and Pepper
                                   -   Boil potatoes in vinegar and water for about 15 minutes. When potatoes are soft remove from heat and allow them to cool in the vinegar.
                                   -   Grill the potatoes on high heat. Season with Salt and Pepper.



Vegan Cake Pops
                              Filling
                               1 Can Chickpeas
                               1/8 tsp Salt
                               1/8 tsp Baking Soda
                               2 tsp Vanilla Extract
                               3 tbls Nut Butter
                               1 Tbls Maple Syrup
                               3 Tbls Flax Seed
                              Dip
                                1 Package Carob Chips
                                2 tsp Coconut Oil

                  -  Combine all filling ingredients in a food processor and blend to a creamy consistancy.
                  -  Roll dough into balls.
                  -  Heat Carob Chips over low heat in a sauce pan. When the chips begin to melt add on tsp at a time of the coconut oil. Stir constantly so it does not stick to bottom of pan. Once chocolate is melted place on dough ball in chocolate and cover.
                  -   Place on wax paper or a paper wrapper. When all balls are rolled place in the fridge to allow balls to firm.



Fudge Truffle Balls
                                1/2 Cup Cashews
                                1/2 Pitted Dates
                                1 TBLS Cocoa or Carob Powder
                                1/2 Cup Nut Butter
                                1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
                                1/4 Cup Almonds
                                1 TBLS Shredded Coconut 
                                   -   Place Cashews and Dates in food processor and combine till ground down
                                   -   Add Cocoa/Carob Powder, Nut Butter, & Vanilla--combine well
                                   -   Add Almonds-pulse to combine but not too much,  keep almonds in chunks
                                   -   Scoop out dough and roll into balls and then roll in coconut
